How come when I sleep while burning incense I have vivid dreams?
Usually, when I sleep I don't have any dreams or I can't remember them. I would say 8/10 times when I burn incense when I lay down to go to sleep in an attempt to relax myself, I have very vivid and colorful dreams, and can remember pretty much all of them. Some are so vivid it almost seems real at the time (which is quite nice I might add, when you're having a really good one, until the alarm clock goes off.)
So is there some sort of connection? I'm only guessing but is it because you are using your sense of smell you are partially kept awake while sleeping? I don't know much about aroma therapy, and can't find any answers about this, if I type it in google I only get witches and spells and stuff like that. I'm wondering if there is a natural (physical) connection, since I don't believe in spirits and all that jazz.
You are sort of right. Sense of Smells is the strongest sense. When you smell a certain scent, it sometimes brings back a memory. When you sleep your brain is still awake and because you are not awake the "memory" is still shown through dreams.
