Wouldn't it be great if the US pulled all the troops back home and focused on paying off the deficit.?
How wonderful it would be to focus on the US by the US taxpayers. On schools, roads, bridges, the poor, and not throw money away to countries who clearly despise the US and pretend to need money for their people and to supposedly maintain peace . What say you?
I have a better idea and please don't shut me out until you have considered this.
What about all of Billions that are wasted right here at home because of redundancies and abuse within the system? Example: A drug dealer was arrested in my town this year. He co-owned and managed two clubs, three bars and a restaraunt, yet the feds revealed that he was recieving disability benefits, welfare benefits, his kids were enrolled in WVSCHIP and WIC, and his household recieved $850/month in food stamps.
Put this into perspective - I paid $900 in WV State taxes last year. My taxes were enough to provide this criminal with a month's worth of food stamps. This means that it took 11 honest taxpayers JUST to pay for this guy's food. And abuses like this happen all of the time.
If you think about it, the war is actually producing results - Since the 1970's, US interests have been under constant attack by Islamic fundamentalists from the Marine Corps barracks bombing in Beirut, to dozens of Embassy bombings, to WTC1, to the USS Cole, to 9/11.
Even if the war never happened, you would still be whining about schools, roads, bridges, and the poor.
