Best College Theater Programs?
What are the best college theater programs from your experience? I'm going to be a senior this year, and I want to compile a list of good schools I'm going to audition for. (I'm planning on visiting campuses after I get into a school, just to save time/money) I'm from the suburbs of Chicago and am looking more toward Acting programs in big cities, like NY, Chicago, or LA. I have a three page resume with leads, supporting roles, really tiny roles, and crew work and I studied at Second City for two years, and then went on to be in their Auditioned Teen Performing Ensemble for the past three years. I would really love to be a theater major, and I know all the hard work and talent it requires to get in. Here are the schools I'm looking to audition at:
Julliard (just for fun!), De Paul, NYU, SoCal, Roosevelt (Chicago), TUFTS, New York School of Performing Arts, Ithica, along with several others. Do you have any more recommendations? Thanks!
