A "Jollity" Question for a Friday- is there any love here for The Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band?
If you've never heard, "Jollity Farm"
BQ: What is your favourite track by the Bonzo's?
BQ2: If you've never heard, what did you think of my link?
Thanks in hope.
@Mucky- cool, but if we never listen we never will know ![]()
Doffs cap when Gentry appear.
Good evening Sir J ![]()
{and hugs to Mrs J}
Now, you probably won't know this, but I went through a huge "1960s" phase in my teens {it even snuck into my school art projects}, and love all sorts of music from the bands that many ignore, such as The Small Faces(!) and the Bonzos.
Favourites :~
Monster Mash {cover}
The Urban Spaceman
Mr. Slater's Parrot {love the intro joke!}
The Bride Stripped Bare (by Bachelors)
Mr Apollo
Ali Baba's Camel

Trivia:
'The Urban Spaceman' was produced by Paul McCartney, under a pseudonym.
As any Bonzo or Mike Oldfield fan knows, Bonzos lead singer Vivian Stanshall was the 'Master of Ceremonies' on Mike's "Tubular Bells".
Those of us of a certain age will associate Neil Innes with the children's programmes "Puddle Lane" and "The Raggy Dolls".
