Cable TV has garbled sound intermittently on digital broadcasts?
I am using a 32" digital high definition TV (a "Flat Screen") using regular non HD cable service. However, there are some local network stations that do come through as high definition. For example channel 7 is regular TV and 7-1 comes through as high definition. My problem is that occasionally the sound is garbled sounding like someone is talking from under water - a gargling sound.
I did have a repair person come in and he replaced the sound card. I rarely watched that TV after that.
Now that I do watch it again, I find the same problem but ONLY on the HD channels. And it does not happen all of the time.
Any idea if the problem is with the TV or would it be with my in the house cable connectors?
Thanks.
Signal compression from CABLE...you really need to get the CABLE BOX to properly DE-Compress the audio...
The TV's audio circuits have already been replaced and you still have the same exact problem. Time to look outside the TV set...
