just starting up a cake & cupcake shop and was wondering where to buy disply cabinets etc.?
looking for cake stands, display cases etc. any recommendations on to where would be a great whole sale place etc.
I started my own small business about 9 years ago and made the mistake of buying new in the beginning. 90 % of new business fails in the first 5 years, and the lucky ones are those that can outlive their mistakes.
All restaurant supply stores carry used equipment and displays get tucked down in the cellar. Also read the newspapers for auctions.
Nobody looks at the display when the when the cakes look sooo goood!
Some tasty morsels...save on displays; spend on good budget marketing....contract work keeps the doors open [schools, nursing homes, convenience stores, private delis and golf snack carts] spend $100 to get a decent logo, business card from a locally owned copy shop...and finally as an owner you wear many hats, none more important than customer service. Read, surf and practice.
