Trying to price up computer?
Hi, I have a used custom built pc
AMD athlon 6000+ AM2 3.01GHZ
Corsair XMS2 2GB RAM (2x1gb)
Asus M2n Sli Deluxe
Seagate Barracuda 250gb HDD
BFG Nvidia 8800gts 320mb
Thermaltake 450W cable managed Modular Powersupply
X Blade case.
I'd be offering this pc with windows 7 Legit + Microsoft office 2007, It's used but most of the parts have a lifetime warranty and have been looked after.
Any idea how much i should charge for it £?
Would also be offering two DVD Lightscribe drives aswell as extra case fans
the software itself could get you 100 to 150 pounds so you might want to sell that separately or keep it if you are building a new system in place of this one as both them are the newest in their respective fields. As for the desktop, yes, on a pound for pound basis, a seasoned computer expert would be hard pressed to offer anything above 200-250 pounds for this machine. the processor is rather inexpensive but the motherboard is pretty good so together they would be worth a 100 pounds, the graphics card is on the higher end of the low range now and could be bought for less than 50 pounds and the ram and power supply are pretty good for the build so they would be worth 60 pounds. a new xblade is 50 quid so an old one might get you 30. However. you could sell it all together for 350-400 pounds as fact is, yahoo answerers tend to always put a low [or maybe a 'real'] estimate on 2nd hand computes and there are always buyers who would pay a higher premium than its true worth - some might consider this rather fraudulent but hey if you advertise right and they dont do their research then who are we to complain?
