Can I get good results with a mic thru a laptop which can be heard thru my 7 watt overhead projector speaker?
I am purchasing a compact projector. It will be hooked up to my laptop thru a 15 pin VGA cable. I want to also get a clip on mic so voice can be heard . I was thinking of hooking up the mic to the laptop and laptop thru to the projector, which has a 7 watt speaker. I was wondering if anyone knew for sure that my vocals can come thru by a VGA cable from laptop to projector.
the projecotr I am getting is the NEC NP110. It has a 7 watt speaker, good enough for large rooms. I'm just wondering if when I hook up my laptop with a mic, can the sound go thru to the projector?
I guess I'll have to experiment once I get it, istead of listening to the "experts" here, who are giving opinion on only partial information
That will not work well - if you are using the mic to amplify your voice for an audience, you need a PA system of some type depending on the size of the room. How many people will be in your audience? How big is the room? Once you answer these questions you then can decide what type of amplifier and speakers you need.
