If Quebec declared independence from Canada, would it be recognized?
Canada was the last G7 country to recognize Kosovo as a country because it was a one sided declaration, and if Kosovo can do it, then so can Quebec. However, the situation here might be slightly different as not as many people know about Quebec, and I don't think many countries would recognize it.
In case anyone doesn' tknow, Quebec is a province in Canada, French is it's main language, and although many other provinces speak French, Quebec is French majority; and there is a distint culture between Quebec and Canada.
Would Quebec be recognized?
More people would recognize it than they do Abkhazia or South Ossetia, but probably not as much as Taiwan (which would probably be universally recognized without world pressure from the Chinese).
