Soundstorm vs Pioneer?
Ive just replaced my soundstorm slade 1400w 2ch amp with a pioneer gm7200 800w mono amp. Was told even tho this has less power it would perform alot better. After swapping amps this is clearly not the case. Could headdeck settings have effect on this? I have 2 dual voice coil tsw306dvc pioneer subs, wired to 2ohms like this
Wondering if the soundstorm amp is better than most give credit or whether setup is letting the pioneer down.
pioneer is better quality, but their amps are a bit weak. Not that they are overrated, just a bit on the soft side. Soundstorm is not a high end brand, but 1400 watts is 1400 watts, and even though it might not quite be that powerful, the difference between 800 and 1400 is too much to dispell on the basis of quality.
