Mixer recommendations needed!?
Hey, i'm looking for a mixer around the £50-£120 pound range, of course this means the mixer isn't going to be top of the line.
Is there any reccomendations of mini-mixers that people have worked with? I need I good pre-amp in it for my ribbon mic and I want a good clean sound, versatile equality and mixing levels.
If I had to choose between versatility in performance or quality i'd prefer quality, the recent one i've looked at is http://www.amazon.co.uk/Alesis-Multimix-6FX-Channel-Mixer/dp/B0002A9V3A/ref=pd_sbs_ce?ie=UTF8&qid=1207838774&sr=1-18, it seems okay but I'd prefer an opinion of somebody who works with or around studio equipment. A quality obsessor.
Well, you have the Yamaha MG8/2FX. It's a quality mixer with EFX controls and several filter controls to give perfect sound. It's very powerful for it's size. This is the size and price range I would recommend.
There's also the Peavey RQ200. It's cheaper, but not nearly the same features as the Yamaha.
