How to set your LED lights to go to the beat of the music?
I own the Chauvet Double Derby X. How to you set this up so it will go to the beat of the music?
This device has a built in microphone and the lights are in sync with the music turn the feature ON. (Look for a switch on its casing somewhere). So it will go automatically to the beat of the music. The lights were amazing; bright, covered a large area, and changed to solid colors (red, green, and blue).
Running this light on it's own, sensing the audio, was chaotic. It spun continuously. However when you slaved it to another unit, a Derby X, it became very pleasant. Under the direction of the other light the effect was toned down and the pair work very nicely together.
Please note that in a master/slave configuration this unit can only slave. Also to set it to slave you need to turn dips 1 and 10 on and 2-9 off. This information is not in the manual we got, nor could we find it online. Very reasonable party light but you might consider another unit to pair with it inorder to tone it down.
