Is there any way to boost the strength of a radio signal from a home broadcasting device?
We have a set of cordless headphones which uses a small broadcaster to be cordless.
I stream a foreign radio station which i loooove and would like to listen to around the house rather than just at the computer.
So i thought i'd put them together and use the headset broadcaster to pick up the signal on the house radio... but the signal, which the headset picks up around the house, seem very very weak on a 'normal' radio.
Why is this? Is there any way to boost the signal so i can get it around the house?
Thanks : )
I have a cordless set of speakers that operate in a similar fashion. There is an output volume control on the device (though it's well hidden). There also should be a volume wheel on your headsets. There are several areas of most computers that also control volume. Not only the system controls (like Windows XP or Vista), but also the manufacturer's software overlays.
My Toshiba has it's own set of volume controls in the control panel on top of the MS-XP controls. Turn all of these up and make sure none are "muted." There also might be a volume wheel on the computer itself (mine is in the front under the mouse pad). Good luck.
