Video splitter / cutter for MPEG2-TS TV recordings .?
Hi All
Please help.
Just bought a Grundig GUDB20USB3 Digital TV Recorder .
It can record to USB flash drive or USB hard drive in MPEG2-TS .
Could any body please recommend some software that i could use to trim/cut my recordings.
free if possible.
Generally for most file types i can use the software i have Roxio 10 , cyberlink power producer v4 , windows movie maker, video magician .
I am sure that the reason that it is not excepted or crashing my software is because it is embedded with extra TV program content information.
It will plays just fine on windows media player.
PS If any one is able to suggest software that would allow me to burn to DVD with out the need for me to convert it first that would be great.

I'd recommend VideoRedo TVSuite. While it's not free ( it's about $75), it is really good for editing Mpeg-2 streams. A lot of other programs I've used will re-encode everything, which can take forever. VideoRedo is smart enough to just copy most of the data and only re-encode what is actually necessary due to the edits. It is also able to convert to a DVD format directly, including resizing HD content to standard DVD resolution. They also have a version called VideoRedoPlus for $50 that doesn't do quite as much.
