Question on burning Windows XP Home Edition Recovery Disks?
My Windows XP Home Edition had an option of burning 5 disks in a series that can be used for system recovery. I had 9 CDs available for this. I successfully burned the first 4, but when I get to the fifth one, none of the CDs work. One CD I actually put in starts to act like its going to work, and then makes a weird noise and freezes up the computer. On one CD I had, I put a couple of pictures on it, but now, the computer is telling me that two or three of the CDs have something on it, when I only burned one picture CD, and nothing else. What could have gone wrong here?
If they are CD-RW disks, format and erase everything on that disk. Then it should work.
