Starnow casting agency - any good???
Hi there.
I`m a performer. I sing mainly and at the moment I`m doing an Elvis Presley Tribute - check it out at www.ukelvis.co.uk
Anyway, enough of the self promotion!!!
The question is, are sites like Starnow any good?
I have read a few post that say they are not, but how else can some companies (TV companies, Film companies, etc.) find performers?
Any advice would be good.

I'm a model and paid for a 6 month membership.. and well I didn't get even 1 job. I applied maybe to 2-3 jobs every day and never heard anything back. I have a great portfolio that does impress but.. there are just way too many people for those jobs. You can always try to pay for 1 month and see what happens. But I think it's a waste of time and it's better to apply to proper casting agencies that would find work for you. That's really the way companies find their performers, they contact agents.
