Are most vinyl records slightly warped?
I've only been collecting records for a couple weeks now and I don't really know a lot of subtle things about them in general. Today I was playing some records I've recently bought, both new and used, and noticed that all of them were noticeably crooked as they spun. The arm of the record player sways a little bit back and forth the entire time on all of them. This is including both used and brand new factory sealed records that I just bought. So my question is, how normal is this and when do you draw the line between a slight warp and a warp that lowers the value or makes a record play worse?
There is nothing wrong if the vinyl is slightly warped, which you will only notice when it is playing on a turn table...
This may be the case with an absolutely perfect vinyl... As long as the record plays fine, without the needle jumping.
