Fundraising Ideas and Tips?
Hey! I am a 14 year old beauty pageant kid (yes...i know how lame it sounds) and I need to raise some money for some various pageants I may be partisipating in. Anyone have any good ideas? Right now I am working on selling lollipops for 1.25 each or 5.00 for 5. I know it sounds super expensive but they are gourmet (that makes them sound fancy lol). And I am also planning on selling glowsticks on fourth of July like in a feild or something. Dose anyone have any tips or suggestions? I think I am going to wear my state crown when I raise for a national competition because it makes me look offical. Any tips?
Thanks <3
Olivia
P.S I am pretty down to earth and approchable (dont think "Toddlers and Tiaras") and I have no issues talking to adults. Will this help?
One tip-beauty or not-check spelling-especially if you are making fliers (lots of spelling errors above). The key, I think to making money, is to sell something that people want at a decent price. (also be careful to not give the idea that this is a sanctioned fundraiser; this is really you trying to get money for you-that could get you into trouble for fraud.). So wearing the crown may not be appropriate; you might need to check with the pageant you won it in-if you wan wear it while trying to get $. They may not like that because it implies you are raising funds for the pageant itself as a pageant representative.
Now what do people need? Are you crafty at all? Think about what your parents or friends buy....I often buy hand decorated gift bags (the bags you put presents into?) for birthdays etc. People sell them with stickers on them or bows glued on, glitter etc. You could ask kids what they would buy...sometimes you have to be creative. Candy doesn't always interest people.
