why laser beam contains red and green light only?
recently i went to a cultural show and they featured laser show in it and i can view only red and green light. why is that?
There's a simple answer to this: that's what can be manufactured. Making a laser is a rather complicated task and making any color is anything but trivial. There are a few colors we can make very well. Red, green, and a few colors of infrared (invisible to the human eye). We can make other colors, but we can not make them inexpensively nor with much power. For a laser show, you need both inexpensive lasers and powerful ones. To make a blue laser that was powerful enough to work in a laser show would cost hundreds of thousands of dollars, if not more. So powerful lasers at other colors are basically only used in research labs where there is a need for them and money to buy them.
