If you had to choose- which band could the world do without?
As in, the band never existed, and their impact therefore, did not either:
1. The Holy Modal Rounders
2. The Beetles
3. The Who
4. The Grateful Dead
5. The Jimi Hendrix Experience
or
6. Bill Haley and His Comets
The Jonas Brothers and Hannah Montana don't count.
Edit:
The point of this is to see people's personal opinions. I love all these bands, and at least one song (if not more) by each of them is in my top 25 on my Ipod.
Just please try to stick to the list. If you haven't heard of one of the bands, say "I say this because i've never heard of it" I don't care, It's for my Pop Culture Final.
I hope this clears up any confusion.
=)
Edit2:
Oops. Sorry about the Beatles mistake. Stupid Biology class. >.>
EDIT3: The Rounders were the first band to use the word Psychedelic in a song.
Currently: ROFLing at the person who said to get rid of Bill Haley. Without him, this section of the Music part of Yahoo Answers wouldn't exist.
You guys aren't answering correctly...she's asking if one of these 6 bands was removed and their impact vanished, which one would you choose
Well, without Jimi Hendrix, there's no RHCP and All Along the Watchtower remains just as another of Dylan's songs, nothing spectacular.
The Who would probably get rid of rock operas
The Beatles might change the sound of many bands...less happier. I could do with them.
