High Quality, Low Price Recording Gear?
I'm thinking about building a home recording studio to record drums, guitar, voice, and possibly some other instruments, but I don't want to spend $100,000 building it. Can anyone suggest some inexpensive recording software/hardware that I can use?
I'm looking for a mic, pre-amp, audio mixer, audio editing software, and while we're at it, electronic drum set and/or drum machine.

Mixer's have preamps built in - no need to get a separate one - here is a nice mixer that connects directly to the computer:
