Anyone know if someone sells wireless microphones (one with a headset) with a batery powered reciever?
As a street performer, I need a wireless headset microphone. However, I am trying to use only battery powered products and I am hoping to avoid a mic system that needs AC power. Rather, I want one with a reciever that is battery powered. Does anyone sell such a product?
Sure - look for 'camera mount' or 'ENG' (electronic news gathering) systems. The small DC powered receivers are designed to mount to the video camera and include short output cables. The 1800 from Audio Technica is a great system for the $$. These come with lavalier mics, but you can add a headworn later to use with the same system.

If you don't have a PA system yet, you can get DC powered portable systems with wireless built in. The Fitness Brat is designed for aerobics instructors, but the waterproof headworn mic whould be great for your application...and easily portable, too.
