What was hip hop production's "Paid In Full Moment"?
What I mean by that is, when Paid In Full dropped, it raised the bar lyrically and made so many other emcees really step up their game.
What album or producer do you think did that for the production side of things?
There are quite a few all relating to different aspects at different times.
Drums - It Takes A Nation Of..., Straight Outta Compton
Sampling/Melodies - The Main Ingredient, Step Into The Arena, Buhloone Mind State,
Bass - Black Sunday
Experimental Sounds - Fantastic Damage, Fantastic Vol2, Donuts, Operation: Doomsday, Dr Octagonocologyst
For the sake of not taking over your Q, I'll give it to "The Low End Theory". Just because I can hear the influence in so many methods.
