I want to become a DJ but no clue on equipment.?
I am looking at buying Traktor Control x1 and Scratch pro for some of the equipment, but I don't know what kind of turntables (Pioneer?), mixer to buy? I don't even know if these two items from Native Instruments are good? Advice?
If you're into Traktor - you may want to check out the Traktor Kontrol S4 Controller - http://t.co/xGrC4v4 - it comes bundled with the newest version of Traktor Pro 2 and with your laptop you're good to go. This controller is quickly becoming very popular. Check out the video of Dennis Ferrer using it here:

If you've really got the cash to spend - with what you mentioned, check out the video here of DJ Craze.

He's using Traktor Scratch Pro, a Pioneer mixer, two turntables - Technics turntables are the industry standard, and NI Maschine.
For Mixer and CDJ Set-ups, this page will give you a good idea of what to get:

If it were me, and I was just getting started, I would go for the Traktor Kontrol S4 Controller - portable - quick, easy set-up, professional quality, 4 deck mixing and at much less than you'd spend on turntables and a mixer... in fact, I have all the Pioneer gear but still want to get the S4 because I can throw it in a carry-on bag and take it wherever I go.
Good luck!
