whats a good sound card? for my PC Sound Blaster® X-Fi™ XtremeGamer or Integrated 7.1 Channel Audio sound card
im gona order a computer what are the pro's and cons of getting a Sound Blaster® X-Fi™ XtremeGamer (D) Sound Card over a
Integrated 7.1 Channel Audio sound card? is it actually worth the extra 100$?
also what are some other good sound cards?
There are a few reasons for choosing a dedicated sound card over an integrated card
SOME integraded sound cards really suck and send out a dodgy signal, most are pretty good now
if you have a dedicated card, it takes some load off your CPU in games giving you a few more FPS
Features, integrated sound rarely has anything but a few audio plugs to stick speaker jacks into, while the xtreme gamer probably has optical for a digital decoder, maybe a remote control, digital out, and maybe a few other connections that don't exist yet.
I'm a gamer and i use onboard sound.
But it's up to you,
maybe it'd be better spent on ram or another cd drive, who knows
