Do I need a driver for every laser diode?
I am looking to buy a laser diode to start into my projects with lasers. I built a laser project before using a BIC lighter, and a blue laser. This one is a lot stronger laser (3mw 650nm Laser Diode Module) and the last one I had to buy a blue laser diode driver. Would I have to buy a diode driver for this diode too? (First laser in this link http://amazing1.com/laser-diode-modules.htm).
While the diode requires a driver, it seems the module includes the driver; "These small diode modules can operate from a 3 volt battery pack"
However, there is a bare diode on that page you link to (but not the first item on the page), and it would require a driver; "Includes VRL3 plans with pc board."
