Be really careful. I've worked with pro systems and amateur systems. The amateur systems are much more trouble than they are worth. You think you saved money right up until you are very embarrassed because of hisses, drop-outs, and clicks and fuzz instead of voices.
You are far better off spending $2000 for something that works well, rather than $500 for something that pees on the carpet. I can recommend Shure gear and solid and relaible. Sony make some good gear too.
