What kind of music recording Software should I buy?
I have a HP laptop with a 64 bit 2.0 Ghz AMD Turion x2 processor, with 3 GB of ram. Im running Windows Vista. It also needs to be compatible with a Lexicon Omega Audio interface and an M-audio Midi controller keyboard. What would be the best Recording Software for me? I primarily use Audio recording but I also need midi capability for additional instrumentation. So A good library of Midi sounds would also be ideal. Any Ideas?
Are you sure that sound forge will be compatible with my Audi interface as well as the M-audio Midi controller? Because from what the people at my local guitar shop are telling me, finding one that supports both is tricky. But they also want me to shell out $250 for proppelerhead record. Which they claim is the best one for my needs.
P.S.
i need pro quality.
Record might indeed be a very good choice for your audio recording. Not sure about the MIDI though. I use FL Studio Producer Edition for all my MIDI and audio, but if you do a LOT of audio recording Record would be better.
I also use Ableton Live which does audio recording pretty well, and MIDI is ok, but I still prefer FL Studio.
You can check both demos:

In case you end up getting FL Studio, you can get 10% discount on your first order from image-line with this promo link for new customers: https://support.image-line.com/jshop/shop.php?offer=Default&promo=BACJBAA468
You can also check out Reaper, which is only $60 for personal use. It's not perfect, but has many features and is rapidly getting better and better. http://reaper.fm
Good luck!
