Which South/Central American country has a lot of people with the surname Domingo?
I'm trying to figure out my great-grandfather's ethnicity. We don't know much about him, except I was told he was Italian or Mexican. His last name is Domingo, meaning he could be Spanish or possibly from a South/Central American country. Is the surname Domingo a popular surname in any South/Central American countries, and if so, which one(s)? Or is the surname Domingo popular in Italy?
assuming he is not living, and was in the US, you should start with the social security death index. With that date/place, send for his death certificate.
Since it could come from any number of places, don't try figuring it out, but go for documents that will verify his parents or place of birth.
