Microphone feeding back?
Okay this might be over some peoples heads but I have a SM-86 going through a pre-amp then to wireless monitor system, to a compressor then to my sound board. The mic is feeding back only when the band stops playing, it doesn't feedback when the vocalist is singing, i have the trim (gain) turned down, i have the speakers far away from the mic, in fact they are flying, the highs and the high mids are turned realitivly down, and the lows are around the middle. The output and gain on the preamp and around 25%. The output on the compressor is around 50%. Anyone ever had this problem???
Try turning it down near the strings and leave the vocalists as is
