MIDI Keyboard and Interface?
So I own a MacBook Pro and have been researching how to start up a small home recording project but some of the terminology has been hard to understand (I think some people misuse it).
I want to get a MIDI Keyboard like the M-Audio Keystation 88es but don't know if I need a separate interface to plug the MIDI Keyboard into? Also I just ordered a condenser mic and I know I need an interface for that, if the midi Keyboard has an interface built in could I use the keyboard as the mics interface as well? Anyways, I hope that makes sense. Thanks for your time.
P.S. Any cheap suggestions for parts would be nice as well!
That keyboard has a USB output so it will connect directly to the computer - no interface needed for it. Your mic cannot connect to the keyboard, it will need a USB interface with phantom power:
