I got what i was use to so no sonar 4 me.
Well, it depends what style of music you are trying to create.
The gear you are lining up for yourself seems okay.
I prefer having a mixing board with faders and switches and knobs....I like to have the equipment in front of me. I bought a software-based multi-track program and in my opinion there's too much mousing and not enough plug-in plug-out interaction, as there would be with say a Tascam digital portastudio.
