Is this system compatible and good? any other suggestions? & can I use WinXP Home ed for this? wat i have now.
is it worth buying Vista for below system??
- PALIT NVIDIA GEFORCE 8800GT 512MB DDR3 PCI EXPRESS VIDE
- ASUS P5KC S775 Combo Memory, QuadCore, P35, FSB1333, DDR2+3, 2xPCIEx16, SATA2, F/W.LAN, ATX Motherboard
- INTEL CORE 2 DUO E8200 BX80570E8200 E8200/2.66GHz/6MB/1333FSB/LGA775 CPU
- SAMSUNG HD401LJ 400GB HARD DISK DRIVE SATA II, 7200RPM, 16MB Memory, HDD 400 GB --------- > are these Samsung HDD's any good?? Or should I go with Seagate?
2GB Corsair (2x XMS2 1GB) TWIN2X2048-6400C4 PC-6400 DDR2 RAM, 2x240-pin DIMMs, Non ECC Unbuffered, 4-4-4-12 ----> this ok??

- 620W "Corsair" HX-620 ATX Power Supply, 120mm fan, Dual PCI-E Graphics Card Connector, 8 SATA Connectors, Universal AC input 90~264V
- Antec "Nine Hundred" Tower Gaming Case with Side Window - Black, NO PSU, 9 Drive Bays, Top mounted 200mm exhaust fan, Top USB/IEEE1394/Audio, ATX CAS
That's a one good machine here.
All looks fine, HDDs, Ram but consider getting a bigger power supply (if you're thinking about going SLI anytime soon)
I would recommend ULTRA 700W +
In fact I just built similar machine last weekend
and put Ultra X2 750W
and don't buy Vista, it will get you frustrated
Stay with XP till the next windows...
also get a nice cooling fan for your CPU
