What exactly does Native Instruments Guitar Rig do?
I'm looking to buy it, but was wondering what all I can do with it. I know you can use it for recording but could I use it for live situations? I would like to know all the possibilities of Guitar Rig.
I may be biased to Guitar Rig, but it is absolutely amazing. In my opinion Guitar Rig is definitely one of the best guitar programs out there. You can choose from a variety of amps, stomp boxes, mods, and anything else that you can think of. This program allows you to emulate virtually any guitar sound out there. I record with it as well as play live with it. I do not play with anything else. The only downside is that you have to have a good computer with a lot of RAM and a good processor. I use a Mac PowerBook G4 and it works great. Cost is something that you'd want to think of if you're considering getting Guitar Rig. By the time you get a good computer (if you don't already have one) and the program (about $300), that probably puts you around $800-$1000. Hope this helps.
