Xbox 360 only plays sound but no picture, or picture but no sound. What is wrong with it? Please help!!?
Hi there. I recently fixed my cousin's xbox 360. i had to change the dvd drive. I was not the one to break the seal, he did before. The disk drive is fine, it is not that. but on HD Stream 2 (an input on my hdtv) it plays picture but no sound! and on AV input it plays sound but no picture. this is true for any game/movie, and when it turns on. you can hear it turn on on the tv, but no picture, and vice versa. What is wrong with it? it was acting like this when I got it, so I didn't do anything. Thanks soooo much. Again he broke the seal before, so there is no good seal. Thanks so much!
I read your question and think Justin provided you with a top notch answer.
My only add is that CD / DVD drives come with a power cable and a small little audio cable - it's possible you may need to confirm the tiny audio cable is secured in the correct posiition and the DIP switches are appropriately set.
