Stage Box With XLR's On Rear Insted Of Soldier Points?
We have two 6 channel stage boxes which are in need of being upgraded. I'm not even sure if they exist but can you get an XLR Wall Plate with female XLR's to connect equipment to and the other with male which could be plugged directly to an XLR cable through the wall to our Multi-Core.
It sounds like you have a "fan to fan" snake or the equivalent. As far as I know the answer to your question is no. No one makes a box as you describe as there would be virtually no use for it. If this is for a fixed, permanent installation the correct way to do it is to get a wall plate with the female XLRs and solder the connections to the back of it. Connections on any kind of plug - socket arrangement eventually become intermittent because of oxidation and any time you needed to fix a connection you would have to pull the panel off the wall. Not a good idea.
