yamaha hs50 studio monitor help?
i have 2 yamaha hs50 studio monitos hooked up to my computer with an apogee duet there is studio fucking buzzing noise ruining the music and sound i bought a power conditioner for 100 dollars and the buzz stoped but came right back please help only answers if you know why i have bought both kinds of cords please help this is annoying me greatly
You really should make sure both 1/4 inch cables you are using are good. That interface does not have balanced outputs like many do, so you cannot run balanced cables. 1/4 inch unbalanced cables are more prone to picking up interference from computer equipment and monitors etc. Make sure your 1/4 inch cable are as short as possible - the longer they are, the more they pick up unwanted noise. Try turning off fluorescent lights too.
You might try routing the cables differently - that may help. Other than that, you may want to get another interface with balanced XLR outputs. Your monitors have XLR inputs, so you would be all set.
