What is a pre-amp? 1992 Cadillac STS radio problems?
My parents just bought a used 1992 Cadillac STS. Its in great shape but the guy they got it from said it needed a new pre-amp. My dad went to the local car audio shop and they said nothing like that existed. Now, what is a pre-amp and where is a good place I can find one for cheap. Any helpful answers would be, well... helpful. Thanks in advance.
you need a head unit that has "pre-amp outs", this will allow you to add to your system. dont know exact details, but this should help point you in the right direction. head unit specs not my specialty
