semi pro camera under 1000 pounds?
I am planing to purchase a seconhand camera.....under £1000 ideally under £500 would be nice but im negotiable.
Since the relese of samll HD Camers such as the Z1 etc i have noticed that half decent cameras such as the Sony ZX1000 PD150 and Cannon Xl have become affordable.
Question is i have no idea what one to go for? or even what ones to compare against each other....
is the VX100 much diffrent to the VX100 E or the VX200....
what about the PD150 or PD170?Is cannon XL1 a good one to go for?
please help me as this is turning into a bit of a nightmare and i could do with some guidance....
Usage wise I plan to shoot in low light conditions ie weddings, corperate and training productions and recording of theatre/plays.
Sound capabilities are also important factor...the ability to input at least 2 balanced XLR audio inputs that are able to be phantom powerd would be nice. plus somthing to plug my HD25 Cans into for monitoring
You want XLR you are going to have to look INTO the PRO line which starts around $10,000 USD
Semi-pro starts at $2,500 USD
You can possibly work with something like a Samsung 203 which has an RCA stereo mic input that if you tinker with things you can hook up a wireless receiver to it.
Canon also made units like the Z40 and Z60 that provided the same thing.
You are not going to find anything more than 1/8" stereo Mini-plug until you get into the PRO lines from Panasonic, Sony, JVC and those don't offer a wide variety of inputs until the $10K range.
