How much does it cost to build a music-recording studio?
I want to upgrade my computer into a professional recording studio. Does anyone know how i can do it?
I want to buy a Condenser microphone and a microphone amplifier.
How much will they cost? I can't afford the top-notch equipments. but I want them to be professional enough.
Any advice?
Are you looking to record bands or just produce music? Recording whole bands is going to run you a bit more. Producing music, you can take shortcuts left and right and still get a solid mix.
Here's a partial list of stuff you'll need for a recording studio.
Mics - For vocals, drums, cymbals, guitars, basses, etc.
Good mics will run you $50-$100 ea.
Mic cables - To connect the mics to an interface.
$10-$20
Mixer - For receiving the signal from the mics. Be sure to have enough inputs that you require.
$300-$500, maybe more.
DAW - Digital audio workstation. This is the most important part of the process. You'll be doing most of your work here.
ex. FL Studio, Garageband, Sonar, Pro Tools, etc.
$300-$500, maybe more
And that's pretty much it. There's many more options you have, such as digital drum samples, amplifier simulators, and so on. If you're only looking to record a band, then that should do just fine... assuming THEY have all the equipment they need.
