Microphones and Stereo Recording?
Hello everyone, I have a question, I'm wanting to do a little experiment with a Condenser and a Ribbon microphone for vocals and acoustic guitar.
I'd like to do some stereo recording with these two different mics because it's obvious that one mic will offer characteristics that another one won't, and I would like to get the best of both worlds...
I know about the issue of phasing, so is there a way to know if these two completely different mics will phase or not?
Any comments and advice is greatly appreciated!

Kool Dude - You will get some phasing no matter what if you record with two mics. The key is to place one mic near one source of sound (your mouth) and the other mic near the other source (guitar). The ribbon will probably work best on guitar.
