Would an acoustic guitar sound ok thru a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe amp?
Ok, so i have a Takamine G-series acoustic guitar that i play in a small worship band setting, church etc...normally i play through a DI into the sound system but for small gigs and practice i'd like to find an amp to play thru...down the road i'd like to get a strat electric...i love the fender hot rod sound with the strat, so would eventually get that amp too...but could i kill two birds with one stone and get the amp 1st, for my acoustic? or would it sound horrible? anyone know of posted vids of an acoustic thru the fender amp? thanks....
What areas would it fail in while playing an acoustic through it? Would it be too bright? Too muddy? Too thin? Any ideas?
It won't sound horrible,
but it's not the best choice for acoustic
You might want to find a store that will let you try it first
Another thing that might help, would be a 10 band EQ, that would allow you to "tweak" the settings of the guitar?
the amp IS a great choice for electric tho,
so it would be worth at least trying it????
edit
the "mids" are where most guitar amps fail....
electric guitar players want a "certain sound",
you just have to play with it, till it works for you..?
Like I said, it IS a good amp, just "voiced" for electric guitar..
It has NO horrible sounds !
I found that 1 small 10 band "EQ" helps me "tweak" the sound, so I can use it..
and I DO wish you the best of luck !!!!
