Anyone know how to fix a popping sound coming through my speakers through my preamp?
I am hearing a popping sound when I run my speakers through my preamp to my CPU...I have Acoustic Authority speakers and a M-Audio MobilePre USB microphone preamp.
Okay so here is a few things I troubleshooted:
1) I plugged in my headphones directly to my CPU and there was no poppng sound
2)I plugged my speakers directly to my CPU and no popping sound
3)Plug my speakers through my microphone preamp and I get a popping sound
4)I can record on my mic just fione and playback with no popping sound if i plug straight to CPU
So this tells me there is something wrong with the audio connection from my speaker through my preamp to my CPU
any ideas how to fix this??
Preamp might have internal problem.
