How do you connect two xls-802 amplifiers together?
How do you connect TWO crown xls-802 amplifiers together from a mixer that only has two outputs? I have two crown XTI1000 amplifiers that have inputs and outputs that allow me to connect them together with short XLR cables. Would you be able to get an XLR splitter or would that degrade the sound quality/signal? Thanks!
You could try an XLR splitter, but there would be an impedance mismatch. A better solution would be to use an audio transformer with one primary winding and two secondary windings, all of which should match the XLR's impedance. Alternatively, you could use an active XLR splitter that receives the XLR input at the correct impedance and amplifies and splits the signal into two XLR outputs, each of the correct impedance.
