Where will my VW warranty be valid?
I am about to purchase a new vw this Saturday, but the closest dealer with my car in stock is 300 miles away. There is a vw dealership within 10 miles from my house, but they wanted full msrp for the same vehicle. After I take my road trip to get my gli, will the dealership by my house do my warranty work, or can they deny me since I didn't purchase the car there?
The answer to your question is a eazy one when someone buys a new vw regaurdless of the dealer they buy from, the car can be serviced @any new car vw dealer. the same follows with warranty work what happens is when you bring your vw to a dealer for repairs when hot under warrenty you pay for the parts and labor. however when you vw is under factory warrent vw of america pay the dealer you choose to use as you sevicing dealer to get paid from vw of america for all warranty work done by the new vw sevices deptment
as well as all recall work which when you bring in your vw for repairs the dealer is supossed to check if it needs any recall work done well the car is there. so buy from the dealer with the best price if your local dealer isnt willing to deal off msrp
then it's there loss because the can reallocate more cars but not more of you which to me as a dealed sounds like a life long customer on both ends sales and service. and one more tid-bit of info the new car dealers make most of their profit in thier service dept. not on new car sales used ar a lot differnt.
