Question about amplifiers and speakers.?
I just purchased two Pro Audio Concert Speakers.

I also need to purchase a new amp as mine is old and will not support the new speakers. The speakers require a minimum of 300w @ 8ohm. I found an amp that I like, but I am not sure if it will work.

I also have two Bose 301 speakers that I also wish to hook up to the new amp, wondering if there are any issues with doing that.
The Pro Audio speakers accept either raw wire or 1/4" jacks. Not sure exactly what this means, but the amp has Banana plugs. Are there any wires that are banana-like on one end and raw or 1/4" on the other?
Thanks a lot!!
Banana plugs are plugs that you attach to bare wire or are already attached to speakers wire that you purchase. It is generally best to buy speakers wire and strip the cable and attach a banana plug rather then buy wire that already had it attached so that you can have more exact lengths of wire between your speakers and amp.
Also to note, you will need pretty heavy gauge wire to power those speakrs, 12 gauge or lower.
As for the Bose 301's They do not appear to be proprietary like the rest of their speakers. Since that is the case, you should be able to use the Bose 301 with that receiver without an issue. Just don't turn the volume up too loud. That receiver has enough juice to blow the cones right off of them without even breaking a sweat.
