Which Tascam 4-track recorder?
I'm looking at this one right now: http://www.guitarcenter.com/TASCAM-DP-004-Portable-4-track-Digital-Multi-track-Recorder-Ltd-Edition-H65528-i1562925.gc
Are there any other decent not TOO expensive 4-track recorders (I'm not looking to go much over $200 at this point in time) that I should compare with the one above?
Thanks
ALSO: I have an acoustic guitar I would be recording with, but it is purely acoustic and does not hook up to an amp. What microphone would you reccomend me to buy that thourougly picks up string instruments that cannot be hooked up to an amp? Or would the condenser microphone included in the 4-track I gave the link to above suffice? I have read that the shure 58' would be a good mic. Would you agree?
The DP004 does have a built in mic that is quite good - you might want to try that first. The problem with it is that it does not have an XLR mic input for the SM57 or 58. You really might consider getting a USB audio interface with phantom power - this will do the same thing as the four track for less money:

You can hook any mic to this.
