How do i record the audio from my mixer console?
I am not sure if my mixer have XLR output, but I am sure that it have TRS 1/4" output and RCA output.
The input into the mixer is a live band. I want to record the whole audio session using a laptop.
What option do i choose? Do i use a TRS 1/4" to TRS 1/8" (adaptor or cable, i dont know) and plug into my laptop's line in female jack or do use an RCA to TRS 1/8" and plug it into my laptop.
P/S: I have never done this before and therefore a complete noob. I dont even know if any of these methods is doable. And which method would produce the best audio quality.
(I will also be recording using Audacity software)
Thanks.
All you need is a standard 3.5mm to RCA cable like this:

The RCA ends connect to the mixer's "tape outputs" and the 3.5mm end goes to the computer line input.
