I have Sid Meier's Civilization 3 Complete how on earth do you play this game? The manual is no help.?
There is no tutorial as in the sims games. I've sat with the manual and started the game and I am totally lost. I've searched the internet and even that hasn't helped. I don't even understand how to read the screens. Advisors pop up and tell me that my funds are low...how do I get more funds. How do I trade etc.
Someone that loves this game and it got high ratings please help!

Wow, hard to explain, you have to tell your settlers where to settle, then tell the governor to focus on whatever you want, and have them build different things. Took me a while to get going, but just by messing around I found out stuff. Hint, make sure you have a ton of warrior types/spearmen etc cause the AI's will sucker punch you if they get half a chance. On the disk is a editor also so that you can create your own units and give yourself more gold to start with. I usually give myself a million. Wish I still had a link to their forums page, it was what really helped me out. Been on civ 4 now for 2 years.
