Is UHF for broadcast TV being killed because the wavelengths is used extensively in new technologies?
it's used in Wi-Fi and cordless phones to name a couple, it also appears as it could be used for wireless energy transfer, which would be an unprecedented world-altering event.
Buy up those UHF frequency rights right now folks - sounds like a goldmine on the verge.
Sounds similar to Exxon/Mobil "condemning" public land because there's oil shale under it - now UHF has been "condemned" - umhmmm
sorry for the typos sheesh
The RF spectrum is extremely valuable for all sorts of applications. Its use for analog broadcast TV is extremely wasteful. Spectrum auctions are common. Wireless energy transfer isn't particularly efficient or valuable. Wireless communication is both.
